On top of this sexy food truck, they serve absolutely gorgeous burger. The pulled pork burger was made on point. Tasted abit like smokey pulled pork and would definitely go back if I ever visited brick lane again. huiminshere.wordpress.com

We attended this venue last Thursday as a celebration venue for a friend. The venue, staff and food were absolutely excellent and such superb value. The bring your own booze element allowed the bill to remain very good value and really added to the party atmousphere. The staff were brilliant and creating a relaxed setting and the music selection was great too. The food itself was brilliant and when you arrive and smell the food cooking, it adds to the great setting. We will definately look to return here.

Hired out the Caboose for my birthday last weekend, and it was as perfect a dining experience as I could have imagined. Every aspect of it was spot on. I’d eaten there before, so I knew what to expect from the food, which was sensational. I’m pretty much in love with the 3:10 to Yuma burger (that’s the beef only one) – it just melts in the mouth. I’d never had the sides before, but they were also right out the top drawer. The rosemary chips were superb, as were the beans, and I think I may now be addicted to the home made chilli sauce! However, it’s not just about the food when you hire out the Caboose for a private party; every other part of the experience (and it really is an experience!) was faultless: – The two guys who were working that night (James and Ben) were incredible and really took care of us. There were a couple of people in our group of 11 with special dietary requirements, so couldn’t sample some of the items on the Caboose menu. However, James went out of his way to ensure that there were suitable alternatives which were equally delicious. – The atmosphere in there is just class. The way the benches are laid out means everyone in the group can talk to each other and I love the way you can see what’s going on the kitchen – really whets the appetite!! Special mention also for the music playing in the background – there were some absolute classics…. – I’d told James it was my birthday, so the balloons and party poppers were a very nice touch. He also put a candle in my dessert when he brought it out (and had actually offered to make a cake)! – Price was also very very reasonable, particularly considering that I would probably class the burger as the best I’ve ever had in England, and quite possibly the world! – Location is excellent as we headed straight out for drinks in Shoreditch once we had finished. The place really does just exude cool and can’t recommend it highly enough – either just to try the burger in the daytime, or to hire it out for the whole experience in the night. Will definitely be returning several times!

I’ve been here a few times as i work in the area for lunch and the Beef is just out of this world. With so many Food trucks and Street food places popping up these guys really seem to have it figured out. I would recommend the Derailer with the smoked cheddar. After speaking to the owner James he informed me about the private dining experience they do. With a friends birthday coming up i booked in for it that week. It was astonishing the three course menu that came out of that Tiny (but beautiful) kitchen. I would definitely recommend this for a birthday or dinner celebration if you want something a little different and not just booking a table at Nando. Thumbs up

Visited the Caboose for the first time on Saturday evening. The pre-booked private dining areas is a fantastically intimate setting in which to enjoy what I can only describe as some of the best beef ribs I have sampled in this country. There is a vibrant atmosphere surrounding the Caboose and the bring your own booze option, if you happen to book the dining area, only helps to enhance the ambiance. In addition, the portion size was much larger than I had expected while the sides and dips were a perfect compliment to the succulent meat. The simple yet tasty dessert of home made chocolate brownies was a subtle yet tasty addition to the meal – while the friendliness and enthusiasm shown from the staff was the icing on the cake for an overall fantastic meal experience. Will definitely be going back!

Caboose – Aldgate East, London. At the crossroads between being counted as a fixture at the Brick Lane Markets, the middle of the trendy Shoreditch area and on Liverpool street, Caboose is quite the place to eat. Within a fixture not much bigger than a railway carriage you would see in the old-style Westerns it works interdependently as a combination of a cafe, a barbeque restaurant, a food truck and a club (plus a disco if hearsay on their website is anything to go by). Look closely and all the care is there to make something that is characteristic, knows its aspirations, has high quality and, as a result of the accumulation of the aforementioned, is well focused and shall not go unnoticed by any eye with discernment. Heck, for the coffee that was on his mind my brother-in-law sure made a beeline for this place. The menu of plenty of American-style slow-roasted meats looked really appetizing. They go beyond what it looks like they could provide, by being prolific caterers and allowing for all sorts of reservations with bookings. It makes for what would definitely be down home-style comfort food with the primary aim to please. It helps that they care deeply for how their food is that everyone could possibly be satisfied. Bypassing it was like finding something amazing. My brother-in-law and I had only just found this after having lunch already at a stall way back at the marketplace, therefore there was not a lot of room in either stomach to justify ordering anything (even so much as splitting one meal between two). However, a coffee and something sweet was on his mind and this place fulfilled that first aspect. In defense, it was only after ordering the coffees that the menu took any eyes and that was perusing during the waiting. There is a special blend used here for the coffees with 2/3 Brazil Santos and 1/3 Costa Rica Hacienda Aquares which makes for a beautiful combination of flavours. Not only that, the barista knew exactly what he was doing and the methods for making espresso-based coffee. The final product I sampled came out as a creamy cappuccino, served at the right temperature for drinking. It was hard to know where the froth ended and the milk began as it was all combined so well. This is amongst the best coffee that I have had within the respective hemisphere. It is rare for me to discuss a place that had such a bold option extensively, and to rate a place highly on just having a coffee. This might be because of being away for nearly a month in an area that was not overtly familiar with the art of extracting espresso. Sometimes what you have not had for a while tastes way better than you can remember it due to the lack of taste memory; it was probably just like that then. Any chance that I can have to try out the menu here will surely be taken up with enthusiasm. It will double as returning for their coffee as well.
