This is hipster heaven. People have drawn on the tables, there are old battered sofas where east londons skinniest Jean wearers lounge about writing up their novels on their MacBooks. There are some pastries and decent coffee during the day and during the night there’s another section out the back for DJ’s that’s dark and grimey. When I went it was a dubstep and drum and bass night. (This was a few years ago) It was a good night and everyone was friendly if not a little euphoric. There’s benches outside where the smokers congregate drinking their cans of red stripe and talking about their latest records they picked up from down the road. Not a bad place at all. In fact I don’t know why I haven’t been back, its got a nice laid back atmosphere and there’s a BBQ outside to boot.

Well decorated, cozy and homey place. You’ll love it. Located in Brick Lane. Their focus is on British Cuisine, bu they also offer nice burgers. I tried their coffee, which is great and quite strong ! Perfect before a morning at work. Prices are fine, and you should spend 35 for two people to eat there. It is a nice ambiance, very good to bring anyone with you. The staff was prompt and welcoming. Enjoy !!

Cafe 1001 is a great place to go and kick back. The place is well decorated and has a real home sweet home feel to it. I went there once after a night out for a bacon and egg sandwich which was delicious. The prices are reasonable and the service is great. If I lived a bit closer I could see myself visiting cafe 1001 much more.

Cafe 1001 is really nice place to be at, we can choose wherever we want to be and how we want to sit (outside, inside, downstairs, upstairs, on couch, chairs, stools…I usually take a hot chocolate with soya milk, not expensive, very good, the staff is friendly even though it is a busy place.

1001 is one of the East End’s must go bar/club – well, it’s a bar in the evenings when people pile outside to share benches over cans of the jamaican redstripe beer, and it’s a club on weekend afternoons when djs tear the place up with london’s craziest genres and newest beats. This place is hype, cheap, full of weirdly dressed people (they’re apparently pretty cool too) and should be on every youngster’s ‘must go’ list. Enjoy, in moderation.
