Visited Chez Elle’s twice while visiting London and staying in Brick Lane. Once for Brunch and once for Dinner. The welcome was warm, the food amazing and the service first class. The only average thing about Chez Elle’s is the prices. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.
Nothing is better than a meal at Chez Elles in my opinion. From the ambience (think Parisienne/Lyonnais Bistro) to the offerings (well priced and well made), I love everything about this joint.Perhaps the best part of all is that it’s located in an area one wouldn’t think to visit for great french food. This has the bonus of keeping out the hipsters who love visiting the area a few streets over.my favourite dishes are:- cassoulet- boudin blanc- almond pie- bavette
Amazing food, excellent staff and completely gluten free. Stumbled upon it a walking down brick lane whilst looking for a lunch hangout, but just ended up eating cake! Coeliac’s paradise, can’t wait to come back
We often visit this place for lunch mostly and this place is just amazing. Small but very beautifully managed and decorated. Staff is lovely and friendly. Menu is really good, for lunch, brunch and dinner. I loved the steaks here, they are just amazing. This place is a must try, you wont be disappointed.
We had dinner here last week and it was an experience worth remembering. Staff was efficient and polite. Menu was nice. We had pane lamb steak and a rib eye steak, both were generous in portions and were amazing in taste. Exceptional service, great food, great ambience, and these things you want for a meal to enjoy and we had it. We would love to come back here and would definitely recommend it to others
We had dinner here on weekend and it was great experience. Menu was extensive and really good. I had goat cheese salad for starter and it was really good. For mains we had lamb steak with parmesan and grilled homemade rib eye steak. Both item looked really great and they were good in portions. My friend said it was the best lamb steak he had lately and it was true. Loved the ambience here, we are definitely returning.
Chez Elles is a very unique, quirky restaurant. The restaurant is filled with antique hotchpotch bits and bobs but, somehow, it works really well and gives the place great character. The lighting is very dim and romantic and sets a good mood. The staff are incredibly friendly and French, which I loved, and the whole place has a laid-back casual feel. The food unfortunately though was a bit hit-and-miss for us. The snails were good, but a little oily/greasy, the duck rillette was a little bland, the steak tartare had a very bizarre texture indeed, although the chips and vegetarian tart were delicious. The highlight for me was the puddings. The chocolate mouelleux was rich and decadent and super tasty. I had a lovely evening there but I’m not sure I will be returning any time too soon sadly! andreaspassions.com
