This is beautiful, simple food, executed perfectly in a relaxed and informal restaurant. The quality of the food makes it a treat but the atmosphere means we happily go after a long day. And try the pao de lo (olive oil custard cake), it’s heaven.
One of the most amazing places in London.Last time I was in London I couldn’t book a table but this time was different and I had the opportunity to try the amazing food that they serve. Since I’m Portuguese I’m a little suspicious saying this but at the same time how better than a portuguese to judge portuguese food.I tried…Green beans fritter, house tinned fish (codfish and mussels), Bisaro tartare, cuttlefish and pig trotters and the beef prego. My favorite was the tartare (seasoned perfectly) and the prego (the meat was really tender). The desserts were rive pudding and custard tart (again delicious).Overall I hope to repeat. eatdrinkliveenjoy.blogspot.com
A fantastic experience, one of the best places to eat Portuguese food in London, albeit in a very different setting from a traditional Portuguese restaurant, and a lot more expensive as well. Still, this is London, and the petiscos served here are of a very high standard. I hope that they start to branch out to other types of dishes though, perhaps incorporating one main meal during lunch time, so that Portuguese people in the UK had a nice spot to take friends and colleagues to taste Portuguese cuisine other than the petisco on offer. The wine list is also a point in its favour.
