The service was horrible. Our waiter was so disinterested that he literally gave us one word replies if at all. He once walked away when I was still talking to him. I had ask three times for glasses for water. The staff seem much more interested in getting people on the road to come in than servicing customers at the tables. The staff kept stressing on how cheap their menu is. Clearly that is their area of focus. The food was extremely ordinary if not downright bad. The starters were passable. The Aloo chaat was just a generic potato curry, not what a Aloo chaat is supposed to be. The Naga chilli chicken had no Naga chillies and the chicken in our briyani was stale and chewy, clearly an attempt at resourceful recycling. Does not even come close to the likes of Tayyabs. Avoid.

Horrible service, worse food. Definitely avoid. They seem to be only interested in getting people in. Once your in, your stuck!! The worst biriyani and chicken tikka I’ve had in a long time.

I had severe food poisoning after eating out here. Food not only was it awful and tasteless it left me out of pocket for 1 week as I was not able to go work due to my condition. Overpriced too. Avoid

My fiance and I were in london last month and we fancied a curry. We went into this restaurant because we saw they had a lot of two seater tables. We thought: perfect. We had a curry dish each with rice and naan breads. the food arrived swiftly and we were treated like guests in the restaurant rather than customers which was nice.We left feeling happy and excited to return again. Thank you very much

On my very first ever visit to Brick Lane with friends, we walked past many ‘too cheap to be a decent meal’ offers. We then came past this place with its heavily advertised windows. The persuasion from the restaurant owner, including a good dinner offer and the ‘Chef of the Year’ award claims pulled us in. On the evening, we were offered a main, side and a drink for 10 per person. Being a huge fan of chaats in general, I chose the Aloo Chaat. When this was bought to the table, I was disappointed with the appearance as it looked nothing like Aloo Chaat but actually like dry potato curry with onions. At that time, I wish I had instead ordered the Samosas that my friends had chosen as their starters. Due to the disappointing starter, I really wasnt expecting much from the Chicken Makaney which I ordered as my main. However, the main was much better! The curry has the right level of spice and the chicken was nicely cooked. In terms of the service, when we walked in the restaurant was empty so we were very well looked after by the kind staff (whose name escapes my mind now!). As the evening went on, the place started getting busier but this didnt have a major impact on the service we received. Overall, as I have not tried other restaurants in the area it is hard to give my thoughts on whether this is indeed ‘the best restaurant in brick lane’ as stated in their adverstised windows! But given that the full meal cost 10, I would say that this place is pretty decent!

Local place. I’m from the local shop in brick lane. I’ve had food from all over the lane but this is my regular. Consistently good food
