Excellent coffee, sandwich, apple tart & tea. The store interior is very small, but lovely, cozy & a wonderful place to have a snack. The interior decoration is delightful. They also sell beautiful jams, jellies & teas.

Verde & Company is truly a must-go gourmet foodie stop. Once I heard that they carry Marcolini chocolates imported from Belgium. . . I obviously had to go!The shop itself is a treasure trove of jams, pts, spreads, sweets, and oils that glisten and glow like row upon row of jewels. Once seated in the tiny emporium, you find yourself completely surrounded by the tantalizing treats, towering above you from wall to wall. I have said before that certain restaurants and shops make you feel as though you’re stepping back in time. Well, Verde & Co makes you feel as though you’re browsing through 19th-century France! Even the beautifully woven baskets hanging outside give you a continental countryside feeling that sweeps you up in its romantic charm.I decided to try their famed hot chocolate, made by melting an entire block of Marcolini chocolate into steaming milk (that explains the 5 price tag!) Seated outside at their quaint round tables, and sipping at my drink, all my troubles melted away . . . like a block of Marcolini chocolate!A lovely place to treat yourself and perhaps an even better place to treat the ones you love, whether with a hot chocolate, a box of chocolates (try the red ones!), or a nice spread!
