We had been craving for a good dosa for quite some time so decided to check this place out!I ordered a masala dosa and my wife ordered the Mysore masala dosa – the orders were promptly taken but the waiting for the food was endless! We initially ordered sambhar vada as well but the server came back after 5 mins to tell me that it might take time – still wanting to eat vada, I told her that I can wait and have it after having dosa – but she still insisted that it will take time. I then decided to cancel it! Anyways after a long wait the dosas arrived – there was no taste in mine whereas the one wifey ordered was still better! The only thing which I liked was the sambar! Not sure if I will go back again.
I’ve been here regularly over the last year and have seen their service levels go from average to worse. The food tastes good, but cleanliness… pretty poor.Wouldn’t recommend the place to anyone unless they’re very badly craving for South Indian and can’t afford to travel top either London or Birmingham for other options.
Okay, so this is my first review.Being a student, one always tries to find places that offer good food with reasonable prices.Dosa village is one of them.Their food is delicious, with a special mention to the Gobhi Manchurian and Paneer Devil in the snacks category.Other things I tried here included, Mysore Masala Dosa, Tomato Uthhappam all of which were tasty. The service might be a little slow because they don’t have much staff but the food makes up for it.And do try either the Filter coffee or Masala Chai after your meal! 🙂
Best place for Indian, Srilankan and Tamil food. We as a group of 4 tried it for the first time. Liked it! Serving takes a little longer but very tasty.Ambiance: OkayQuality: GoodQuantity: GoodPrice: ReasonableHighlights: Kothu Parota, Srilankan chicken, Chicken 65, Chicken Masala Dosa
Good food but service is poor. Food takes too long to arrive. Cleanliness is awful with cutlery, plates and even the water looking dirty! If you’re going, try the chicken kothu porotta.
