I’ve been going to the Camera Cafe (now the Camera Museum but same people) since 2000 (or is it 1999?).It’s one of the rare remaining true independent and unique London places in a world of franchises and gentrification.The Chinese inspired food is very good and I always stop for a toasted panini. The owner Adrian is quite the character and extremely friendly. It’s a brilliant place to relax with some good music in the background. They now have a camera museum in the basement that is free to visit.One of my favorite coffee shops in London.
The Camera Cafe offers a very cute coffee experience. Once you enter its cosy confines (don’t come here if you like spacious places!) you are surrounded by chalk boards and glass cases full of first and second hand camera equipment which you can buy if the fancy takes you. Also available are an impressive selection of photo magazines to read while you sip your very well priced coffee. Though I have not experienced it myself, I have heard that the staff can be rather short at times. This, combined with the close quarters, might put you off being a regular, but it’s definitely worth a visit.
