I don’t really like this system, when you arrive , you arrive so starving and start adding everything on your tray.Meals were goods, my dish was made of cous cous and vegetables, it was good, i don’t repair that, but the portion was enough and I almost did not eat my salad, and pudding. Only one thing , there was a lot of dirty trays and dishes visibles on many tables. It was the best option in the British Museum, I did not want to eat sandwiches from cafeterias, they only sell good coffee.
I love the British Museum, but I can’t say the same for the food at the British Museum’s Gallery Cafe. Now, I know you don’t go to the British Museum for the food, but this cafe desperately needs some sprucing up.The ambiance itself is pretty grim: windowless (Ok, there are some windows, but they are about 20 feet off the ground, so do they really count?) characterless, and something you honestly might expect in a hospital cafe. Actually, no, I’ve been to the cafe at Bart’s Hospital, and it had more character than this.10 for a couple of croissant and juice make the meal a tad hard to swallow. Honestly, the best part was the cute miniature jar that the jam came in. I can’t say it made me particularly keen to try any of the other restaurants in the museum, so next time I plan to pack a sandwich.
