Made an impromptu decision to eat here with a friend. Service was horrible. We had to call them for everything ,menus, forks, etc and they took forever showing up. I have no qualms with pricey meals done right , but this was not the case with Hason Raja. The drinks were watery, starters were more veggie than meat, portions were tiny and the food just sucked. All for 65 pounds.. I could travel to France and get a nice cold sub with that money 🙁

This place claims to be serving authentic Indian and Bangladeshi food, but the day I and my husband went there they served us vegetables which contained spices disproportionately. They are only good in serving alcohol.

I visited there but was refused to serve because my order was not worth more than GBP20. The food I wanted to eat was worth GBP18 and it was sufficient for 2 people, but they still wanted me to increase my order.

Thoroughly enjoyable. We visited Hason Raja during the second week of October, 2012. My friend and I found the resaturant to be excellent. I have enjoyed Indian cuisine on many occasions and thought the quality was very good. Our dining experience was enhanced by very attractive surroundings and warm and helpful staff.

Expensive for Indian Food, brought us an appetizer without asking us, and to my surprize it was on the bill! Also tried to force us to order an entre for each – when I said we only wanted to share 1 entree (and threatened to leave) they backed down – but it coloured our experience negatively. Food was okay, salad not very fresh.

Great food and atmosphere. Discovered a couple of years ago and recommended it to colleagues who also love it. Always make a point of eating here when I’m down I’m the big smoke! You won’t be disappointed.

Raja in name. The dated interiors felt a bit uncomfortable and on a midweek lunch, I was the only one there. Generally an above average Indian where seafood is well represented and the menu interesting. Poppadom could be fresher. Pilau rice, cooked with a light hand, scored on flavour & texture. Squid starter & tilapia fish main can benefit with less cooking fat. Go if you fancy something more adventurous than your bog standard Indian.
