The reviews are not great for this place but I would really like to differ. My go to place to grab a pint of beer and a basket of fries. It is an ideal place to hang out with a group of people and spend some time.

Saturday starter. Great pub with decent selection of ‘brick’ beers. Atmosphere was a bit lacking (no music, and with only a handful of people in the place, it was eerily quiet). But once people rolled in towards the late afternoon, it picked up. Chicken Burger was pretty spot on with great chips and seasoning, i would go back to try other food there!
Location, Quaffing Beer and Good servings. Visited Holborn Whippet Friday night 18/10 7pm. Heaving and hard to find a table. After a round of very fresh and lively beers we finally scored a table at 8pm. Bar service only, which should be made more clear. Big steak sandwich and fries with wait for it parsley on it. Actually worked well. Mixed crowd of suits, beer geeks and the odd tourist. Space decor with whippet framed drawings. Can see the Whippet lasting the distance as it is not trying to hard.Gripe: ladies thought more than 2 loos are needed and put a waiter on.
