Unique place that combines Italian and Peruvian cuisines. Tried the ceviche which tasted fresh, sour, acidic to the max. First time trying it. The best was the grilled corn with cheese and lime and chili. Ambience was very relaxing and comfortable.

Came here to catch up with friends after work mid-week. Chose it because of the small plates, the Italian-Peruvian fusion and also because of the location. We chose to go for the set menu deal of 4 small plates and a glass of prosecco for 29 and that was our downfall. The prosecco was not very good in all honesty, very acidic and you could smell it was not a very good one. We ordered the prawn crevice and the tomato ceviche as two of the options and they turned out to be the same dish except for prawns in one. This was disappointing as one of the pluses of having small plates is to be able to share and try many different dishes. We had the burrata and tomato dish and the burrata was certainly not the finest. It was quite stringy and half hardened. We then had the flatbread margherita pizza, which was nice but nothing special. Along with this we had the calamari. It was a little tough but the flavour was delicious and the sauce that accompanied it was so good we ordered more of it. The mushroom and ricotta ravioli in sage and butter sauce was lovely but very heavy and rich as it came drowned in a thick butter with very little taste of sage. It could have been a bit more delicate and fragrant. The corn and avocado mixture in a beetroot puree was nice, simple and nothing to write home about. Our last dish was the baby aubergines. I love it when these are done well so was really looking forward to this dish. Unfortunately it was disappointing as it was packed with so much spice it was overpowering. The flavour reminded me more of a North Indian curry than anything I have ever had from Italy or South America. For dessert we ordered the peach and oregano panna cotta, the coffee cream and the gelato selection. The coffee cream cup was lovely, creamy and rich. It could have done with another texture, perhaps a biscuit crumb. The panna cotta was just beautiful and that coming from someone who doesn’t like panna cotta. You could taste the herby flavour throughout so it wasn’t too creamy. It could have done with a more generous serving of peach – there was just a small half slice in the middle for decoration – hardly deserving of a peach panna cotta title. The gelato I’m afraid to say was not gelato at all. It was completely grainy with small ice granules running throughout. I think it was definitely more concept/style over substance. It filled us up so you could say it was good value and it probably does well at this price point and in its prime location. I personally wouldn’t come here for the food however as there are so many other amazing tapas style restaurants, many good Italian and a large selection of Peruvian restaurants in and around central London to choose from for not that much more of a dent in your pocket.

Great clean tasty food that is shareable. I really enjoyed this experience, from the clean devour through to the simplicity of the menu with the strong bold flavours. I am sorry I only took photos of the desserts (which were unbelievable)! This is the kind of place you can come on a date and gnaw and graze at food as you catch up with someone as much as have a get together with a larger group, order lots of dishes to the table and enjoy as the tastebuds are attacked with flavours that work very well together. Highly recommended and in the words of Michelin, I would go out of my way to stop here. Bravo and superb guys. P.S. the wine list is not too shabby either. We paired with a Sauv Blanc and it worked very nicely.UPDATE: not as good the second time around when the kitchens were busy. Service was slow & sloppy. The food was not as nice. Reducing the review to 4/5* (I would rate my second experience as a 3.5/5).
