This bar is one of my favourites, a bit pricey but the drinks, service, ambience and live music are amazing. Went on a Sunday evening after a meal around and it was great as was not so busy so we could enjoy the best seats near the piano and fireplace .Recommended 100%
Fun drinks, lovely atmosphere. Really enjoyed the booked themed cocktails which were accompanied by quirky illustrations- rarely do I enjoy reading menus as much! Everything was a bit pricey but the food was tasty and the ambience, especially when the live band started playing at around 9pm, was perfect for unwinding on a Friday evening
Nice place for Saturday Jazz night. I suppose it is a part of the Rosewood Hotel (which is a very beautiful place). I`ve just enjoyed jazz music played by some American band. As I expected, food was quite spicy as the menu was full of Indian dishes. So I just tried many cocktails. They were quite good. Prices are not for students!
Sunday night at Scarfes. What a spot. Great venue, amazing cocktails and a terrific atmosphere given the day of the week. Staff friendly, some celeb spotting in the form of the Jolie and good value. Great drawings on the walls from the famous cartoonist namesake just add to the interesting decor. Service was a little slow and food fell a little flat, but I’m nitpicking. A great bar to add to my favorites list.
I popped into Scarfes Bar with a friend to have a drink on my birthday, after being told that the Mirror Room was too full to accommodate us.I have heard good things about Scarfes Bar, and it definitely was as classy as others have described to me. We ordered some small dishes to share – the momos were pretty tasty, and the sandwich big enough to share between the two of us.I ordered the Bubble & Shrubs cocktail, as I do love champagne based cocktails. We also ordered a little dessert sharing platter – I especially liked the ‘cigarettes’.I really do like the interior and would be interested to check it out again during one of their jazz/cabaret nights.Conveniently located just round the corner from Holborn station, and a great place to relax and have a drink. dancing-in-high-heels.blogspot.com
