Really good fish and chips. So fresh as its fried on the spot. Friendly staff and quite fast service. Portion is too big for me! I had cod fish and its amazing. The fried shrimps are very small and few pieces
Place runned by very nice portuguese gentlemans. They serve a award winning fish & chips. And some pies that I like very much! I recommend it to everyone.
I don’t know. The chips were of awful quality and the fish batter was heavy. The fish itself was fine. The mushy peas were lacking taste and were mushed to the consistency of a thin mashed potato. The fish cakes were simply mashed potatoes inside. The oil was bad. Overall it wasn’t even that cheap to justify the quality. happybelly.org.uk
Absolutely classic fish and chip joint in central London, complete with old school dining experience. Perfect sized portions, a touch expensive, but difficult to avoid paying a lot for cod these days! londoncurryblog.com
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. The place looks & feels old, but not in a good way. It’s fairly cheap so I gave it a try as fish’n’chip outlets are not that common in the city. The chips were hard & had a synthetic oil taste, but worse than that the sausage I ordered was undercooked so I returned the lot. The older Mediterranean guy behind the counter who refused to give me a refund was rude & argumentative. Save your money & time, you’re better off in McDonalds.
Of course I am not meant to like this… After all deep fat fryer is banned. Still, if you yield to cod & chips temptations this is a real delight.
