AVOID!!!! All the bad reviews are true. Even though there are some good ones DON’T TAKE THE RISK WE DID. We were a table of four celebrating a friends birthday, and decided to go for the 26.50 set menu. Starters were OK, I had the lamb but it did not feel like it had been made freshly, which is what you would expect with such prices. My main was awful , I had the Liver which tasted like something that had come from a can , which was accompanied my a liquidated mash. For the dessert I ordered the Tiramisu. When it came it looked more like a mini cheesecake with cream from a can on the side. It tasted NOTHING like it should have , and the funnier part was we could not even break into the thing as it was FROZEN SOLID. Once we complained and said we were in a hurry , could they just take it off the bill , a waiter came back with a menu. Basically demanding that we order another dessert , otherwise she was going to charge us for the others separately which would have been more expensive than 26.50!!!!!Never have I experienced such appalling/ disgusting service!!!! We asked to speak to the management. It was like they took offence to our complaint and was more concerned about profit. Sorry , buy we were the PAYING customers. Eventually they called the owner and we got 10 of the bill and deducted the 12.5 % service charge. It still came to 24 each (RIPOFF). Never going back here again, I think a lot of the food is frozen. Next time I would rather go to ICELAND and spend 2 and get better value for my money. 0* for food 0* for SERVICE. There are no responses back to any of these complaints, which they could learn a lot from. Shows that they simply do not care!

This place is beautifully decorated and looks fabulous. Yep, that’s all I’ve got, oh, and the scallops were perfectly cooked. When we arrived I was looking forward to dining here. Upon opening the menu I was disappointed. There is a good range of starters but sadly, the mains lacked variety. Of 14 dishes, 6 are beef burgers, 4 are steak and 4 are fish. Ok if you like red meat but if you’re vegetarian it seems you’re out of luck. The scallops in my starter came done to a ‘T’ but unfortunately the big chunks of chorizo and undressed salad were not appealing. For my main I chose the dover sole filets. A delicate fish, it was way overcooked. They came heavily crumbed and deep-fried. The salad looked like it came straight out of a 70’s cooking show – bigpieces of tomato, cucumber sliced on an angle and again no dressing.A dry dish that not even the thick ‘sauce’ on the side could moisten. We decided against dessert and went for liqueur coffees instead. These arrived lukewarm and in a wine glass *sigh. At 100 (incl. service)for 2 people, 2 courses each, 2 liq coffees and a 20 bottle of wine did I think it was money well spent? Not in my opinion. I wouldn’t mind sitting at the bar and having a few cocktails but I would not return for the food.Just a note on the service too. Our bottle of wine stayed on the table in its bucket for the whole of our visit. We were left to top up ourselves whilst watching the staffleaningon their station most of the time with their arms folded having a catch-up and drinking hot drinks. WhenI go to a nice-looking place with these prices I expect at least attentive service and great food, unfortunately we didn’t get either. Whilst our server was polite the skill was lacking. msfoodblogger.com

For me, one of Wolfe’s most distinguishable features is the dcor. It seems as if it hasn’t been refurbished for years, but in my opinion this gives the place an essence of elegance and originality. I think many restaurants today can look standardised in their appearance with a modern look, but Wolfe’s has a lot of personality. In terms of the food, I ordered the Rib-eye steak and it was cooked perfectly, to a medium heat and was packed with juices and flavour. 55 for two people for a steak dinner isn’t unreasonable either. Give it a try in my opinion.

I almost shouldn’t review Wolfe’s. Situated opposite the Freemasons building, it looks a little like a fancy diner. The menu is varied and interesting, with a reasonably priced set menu and standard fare such as whitebait, burgers, and steak. The wine list is a little pricey, but the red Malbec we opted for was medium-bodied and very drinkable. Really though, I wouldn’t recommend Wolfe’s for its food. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with it – a little on the greasy side for my tastes – portions are generous and the flavours just fine. Somehow though, I’ll happily return here to soak up the atmosphere, people watch (a cheeky game of Freemason or tourist), and drink up the too-sugary daiquiris while righting the worlds wrongs and laughing with friends. Wolfe’s has, for me, an inexplicable charm that has nothing to do with its menu.

This one stop wine bar & Restaurant is the regular calling spot for the Masonic crowd after their meals for a dignified glass of wine & distinguished chatter with decent company, The decor reminds me of a New York cocktail bar and makes me feel like I never left NYC, also boasting the best Daiquiri in London (they are GREAT) which left me feeling rather light headed at the end of the meal. They’re food is as you’d expect with various gourmet burgers cooked to your requirement and set out in an incredibly attractive manner too. They even boast a Kobe & Wagyu burgers at a slightly(impressively slightly) higher cost too!I highly recommend this place. both for; after dinner dignified drinks and a meal after work alike.

A Overall very Nice Restaurant Wolfe’sThis restaurant located in Covent Garden is an old fashioned place with a new twist, decore etcThe menu is easy to understand and self explainatery and caters to every need. The restaurant was empty most of the time as we were there and I fill as though the service could of been a little more personal. The starter of Calamari and Whitebait was a little bland of tasted ofold fryer oil. For main I went for the Wagyu deluxe which was very tasty and perfectlycooked. Overall the food and service where good.
