Best curry house in Richmond/Twickenham. Having lived in the area many years, we have tried every ‘Indian’ restaurant around as well as many across London. The Curry Inn has remained a constant amongst the fashion for ‘modernised’ dining and ‘plate-decorating’, serving delicious authentic Bangladeshi curries, full of flavour and spices, at reasonable prices. They do the tastiest sizzling chicken tikka we’ve ever had with no unnatural colouring. Family run, by father and son ensemble, the service is always one of the friendliest and most welcoming of all local restaurants. The interior may not have changed in years but that only adds to the charm and comfort, with its pressed leaf wallpaper and swirling carpet. You won’t find any wood floors, rigid chairs, leather bonquettes and LED lights here. Like a bit of a time warp, the kind of restaurant David Jason as Del Boy or Inspector Morse may have frequented. It won’t disappoint if you’re after an evening out with a quiet ambience, that won’t break the purse strings . We hope it never changes and continues to provide diners an alternative to the overpriced, underflavoured, swankier establishments so commonly found nowadays. We love it!

Please try this restaurant. We have visited Curry Inn for a number of years – this a a small local business with a real ‘family run’ feel to the service which has always been excellent. The food quality is great and authentic. A pleasure at every visit

I am in shock. I work for a restaurant standards agency, and I could not believe the level of service I received. Not only was my order miscommunicated to who must be the owner but lies also pursued. I was ‘shushed’ out of the restaurant when I asked to complain about the service from the older man. He said I lied about my order, and that I must have ordered what I made. Why on earth would anyone lie about an order? Disgusted and horrified at the obviously sexist owner. No wonder the place is always empty.

Fantastic. Possibly the best curry house I’ve ever been to. I like my curries authentic and spicy, while my girlfriend likes otherwise authentic spicing but with much less chilli. We asked for our food to come like this and they’ve got it bang on every time. Even the starters, which I normally avoid except in South Indian restaurants, are fantastic. Great value too – two starters, two mains, one side and two naans came to 24. Sadly, it has been empty everytime we’ve been in.

Miss the curry inn. Worst curry house in five miles. Can not understand how it keeps going, apart from rugby days when now one knows what to expect. If you do want a good curry, just go to Twickenham, there are all great. Try all the ones in Church st, or ghuka inn or attiti both brilliant.

I don’t know what the other guy is on about all the people that I know love this restaurant, bestcurrin town!!! Very good service and a very good price. I highly recommend to all!!!

Very much a below average curry house that clings on to a time where punters didn’t know any better. Even lovers of 70’s kitsch might be shocked at the appalling interior and exterior. Take a 10min walk up the road to Tangawizi!! I rarely see more than 2 people in here at any time, except on Rugby days…avoid!
