  First (and last!) visit. Visited for a family meal and as there were 8 of us wanting to dine on a Saturday evening I booked the table 5 days in advance. When booking I was asked if I would prefer a round table to one long table and I requested a round table. When we arrived we were told they had no booking but even though they were extremely busy they would squeeze us in. When I asked if she would know who was on shift on the day I booked her aprupt response was no as she didn’t work Monday’s, I also explained about the offer of a round table and was told that was impossible.We were eventually shown to our table and ordered our meals. The restaurant was extremely warm and they were slow to take our order. There was no cutlery on the table for the salad bar so another delay as we tried to find staff to request some. The main course was adequate and thankfully tasted better than it looked! Another long delay followed as we waited to order the dessert and when it did arrive two cheesecakes that had been ordered were frozen solid. Another long delay followed before two new unfrozen cheesecakes eventually arrived. This was my first visit to this harvester and it will be my last. Rude and abrupt greeting, oppressively warm atmosphere, adequate main course and inedible dessert!

  Appalling experience again!!. This is the second time we have been to this Harvetser branch – mainly because it is just round the corner from where we live. both time the service has been appalling. This time particularly it was unbearable. It took 10 mins. to get us seated in spite of the fact we had booked a table in advance. It then took forever to get our order taken and served. When the food arrived, our breakfasts had 3 of the components missing i.e the beans, tomatoes and mushrooms. We decided to not bother to ask for these as we may end up waiting again. When we asked for the bill, it came with several other items on it for a table near us. It took 2 more goes for the waitress to finally get the bill right and we never got an apology. Would never go back again.

  Same as every other Harvester restaurant… It’s ok, mass catering food, you’re not going to get anything special but nothing much to complain about.
