The Stables Bar & Restaurant is situated at the back of the Hall in the converted 18th century stable block. The restaurant features a large external courtyard and the building itself has been lovingly restored and retains the buildings original features. You will be greeted by original stone floors, exposed beams, antique furniture, roaring winter log fires and, of course, Northern hospitality. Welcoming both our residents as well as walk-in guests, The Stables offers satisfying seasonal menus with dishes prepared from the freshest, local ingredients. Twice a month we have hand-picked bands on Fridays, twice a month. Free admission to all the live performances and an electric atmosphere to get your weekend vibes going. We visited The Stables after a walk with friends and were all looking forward to a good meal. We were terribly disappointed by the chaotic service. The food was overpriced and mostly mediocre too.
Done the magical Christmas trail. Very well organized. Once we had completed the trail we had somthing to eat here. The service was good and food was lovely. Has alot option for drinks if you want to try something new. Will definitely be returning
