Favourite place for dessert! I find myself going to this place so very often. I love to have brunch here; they have such an amazing and wide variety of dishes to choose from. Their Pastas are some of my favourites! All the dishes/desserts I have tried here have left me with a completely satisfied stomach and happy taste buds. Also, their Hot Chocolate is to die for! Their desserts have a balance; they are never too sweet and that is what I love most! One thing I have to order every time I am there is their Fudge Cake served with ice-cream and hot Chocolate sauce drizzled on top. Staff is friendly too.All in all, it is a great place! thatkenyanwanderer.wordpress.com
Stanmore’s culinary scene is not exactly thriving, so it’s nice to see an American-style deli in the area. The menu is extensive, so you’ll probably find something to your liking. I had the salmon latka – which was nice if a little greasy – could have done with resting on some kitchen paper before serving. The soup of the day was tomato and basil – had hoped the basil would be fresh, perhaps even whizzed with some extra virgin olive oil and artistically drizzled on top, but alas, they had used the dried herb. The food here is not excellent, it’s ok.
I didn’t really like this place at first, when it first opened, however having lunch dined here many times it has grown on me. Food is constantly of exceptional quality (scrambled eggs and salmon are great, as are the burgers);the staff are friendly, and service is quick.
Never had a bad lunch or dinner and I do repeat my business with them frequently! Try a burger! Happy customer 🙂
Went to this restaurant yesterday for lunch and ordered a smoked salmon and advocado salad. When it arrived it had such a small amount of salmon I needed a microscope to see it. I then called over, (perhaps the manager) who informed me that 80g of salmon had been served and if I wished for more I would have to pay extra. I then told him that the last time I visted the Delisserie and ordered the very same dish that there was a lot more salmon on my plate, he was not interested and again stated if I required more I would be charged extra.I found his attitutude totally unprofessional to the point of being rude. I know when orders, what are stated as a Salmon and Advocado salad, that is what should be served. Myself and two friends will not be returning..
Hi there guys,As you may have read in one of my previous reviews, I absolutely loved the Mill Hill branch of the delisserie but the question of whether the Stanmore branch lives up to the same standard arises. The simple answer is yes.The standard of the food certainly did not drop and neither did the service or atmosphere. We stopped here for a very quick lunch and were instantly seated in a very comfortable booth. Once again I began with the Taramasalata and Humous. The portion was very generous and the pitta read was nice and crisp; A light and tasty appetiser all in all. I then moved on to a Salt Beef Sandwich. One of the things I always love about the Delisserie is the huge portions they give, even with sandwiches, as I was greeted with several slices of salt beef bursting with flavour. I tried to get through it but I inevitably ended up bringing the rest home, eating it later that night. The delicious meal was topped by the Warm Chocolate Fudge Cake with vanilla ice cream, which was moist and warm, as it left me satisfied and full to the brim. The service once more was delightful and even the toilets were spotless, good enough to eat off even, you could say! This Jewish New York style restaurant, whichever branch you visit is classy and for those reasons are definitely worth a visit
This is a new branch of the popular Delisserie chain in North London. Now, you can already see from my past reviews that I’m a fan of the Mill Hill branch. However, recently, a branch in nearby Stanmore has opened up. Mother’s Day was on the cards, and I thought – why not head to the new branch for a Mother’s Day breakfast. It was perhaps the worst meal I’ve had in a Delisserie branch. I had the Smoked Salmon and Scrambled Free Range Eggs, and so too did my mother. The salmon was lank, and there wasn’t too much of it. The bagels were lukewarm. We asked for our lattes very hot, and had to send them back as they too were lukewarm. And when they returned, they will still not as hot as we would have liked.Overall, I’ve given it a 3.5 as I know the Delisserie brand is capable of more than this. But my first visit to the Stanmore branch certainly let me down, at least in a small way. All the same, I’ll probably be back to give it a second shot at the big time. Screw Flanders.
