Favourite Indian restaurant in Stokey. Having tried all of the Indian restaurants in Stokey, this is my favourite by far. I have been a regular for at the last 3 years and the food and service is generally excellent, as is the price.
Tasty authentic food. I use this restaurant regularly and find them friendly and the food is always consistently good. However, you can wait long for the meal sometimes but then when it comes it is always fresh. I went to a popular restaurant recently which was packed out and the service was great, but they didn’t have that fresh authentic taste, thats what I like about Royal India the taste.
Bad service. Food was lovely but very bad service. We had to wait over an hour for the food and when we finished had to wait a very long time for our table to be cleared and were not offered any coffee/dessert. Very unfriendly. I will not be going here again, there are much better Indian restaurants in stoke newington.
The Best In Stoky. Been living in the area for many years, tried n tested many Indian restaurants and takeaways. Ordered a takeaway from here one day, was fantastic! Food was fresh, smelling amazing and nicely packaged. After this I decided to dine in, was a very pleasant experience. Food and service A+++
After eating at Royal India the first time I became a regular. Friendly staff, excellent service and good food.
Avoid. I’ve eaten here three times and will never eat again. Staff is rude and dishonest about discounts. Food was coldish and dishes have more sauce than meat. Why go through all this if there are many good restaurants around? AVOID!
Good local. I must say that the food is only just better than okay, but it’s my fave curry house. Twice went there late and starving and said we want two thali-type things one meat and one veg. Didn’t check the bill. Paid by card. Under 30 quid for two people. No problem bish bash bosh. Very friendly and welcoming. Only once had a prob on a Sat night when appeared short staffed. Favourite local curry house – and there are loads round here.
