Excellent. I can’t believe some of the reviews I have read about this restaurant. There are several Italian restaurants in Stone and I think people must be confusing them, I have been to Pasta Di Piazza on several occasions during the past 6 months, both for a romantic meal for two and as part of a large family party. On every occasion the food and service have been excellent. It may be a bit expensive, but it is well worth it. I would recommend it to anyone who loves Italian food.
Awful Customer Service, Spend Your Money Elsewhere. Visited on a very quiet Saturday afternoon, ten mins before closing time. Asked for a couple of soups and a window seat. Waiter quibbled about us having the window seat even though the restaurant was 90% empty! Had to persuade him to let us sit there, it was as if he just couldn’t be bothered – very poor customer service, we almost walked out but having been to the restaurant before a few years ago we thought we’d give it a chance. As a result of the ‘window seat debate’ I think that someone may have put extra salt in my partner’s soup. My partner lived in Italy for a while, is a fluent Italian speaker and knows what Minestrone should taste like but his soup tasted like seawater and was inedible so he sent it back. After a long wait a nice waitress brought out another bowl of soup but by then the meal had been spoilt for both of us by the awful customer service. We paid in full for the meal and the waiter who served us and took the cash was very rude and aggressive and told my partner he didn’t want our custom again – this is the worst customer service I have ever received anywhere. If ‘Pasta di Disaster’ don’t want our custom, they need not worry, we won’t be eating there ever again and neither will our friends and family.
