I usually end up in M&S cafe whenever i go in, i can’t seem to help it! i love their service and the staff are super friendly and unlike other places they don’t look at me as if I’m from another world whenever i ask for my tea to be more milk than water or ask for extra milk! (its not that big of a deal guys!) My latest encounter i had such a lovely lady serving me, she was energetic and constantly smiling and really cheered me up! (thank you!)As a self professed sandwich lover, having a wide range of different sandwiches to choose from is heaven! Their sandwiches are always fresh and their carrot cake is gorgeous! (second favourite to Nandos!) They also serve hot food, though I’ve never tried it i can tell you it smells and looks delicious!Maybe next time il give up my sandwich and cake and opt for a hot meal..
I have eaten at dozens of M&S cafes across the city and beyond but somehow I have always ended up eating just two things from this outlet. It is their ONION GARLIC FOCACCIA followed by a FRENCH PLUM PASTRY. I often times just pick them up as a takeaway and chomp on them as I idly roam around. The FOCACCIA is beautiful with two of my favourite ingredients in the world onion and garlic caramelised to a degree in the baking that make them deliciously sweet and robbed of any pungency. That is seriously good stuff for me and I think some sort of a self-evolved tradition has sprung itself in my head so firmly now that I must stick to ordering just these two things every single time here somehow always in the mood to have them totally inexplicable I tell you!
