Perfect Blend is a small British restaurant and bar located on Streatham’s ever bustling High Street. Complete with plush sofas, cosy corners, tables-for-two and outdoor in warmer periods Perfect Blend instantly makes individual diners, couples and groups feel at home. Quirky touches such as Pheobe, PBs indoor romanesque statue make for interesting eye candy alongside various other points of interest. The restaurant offers up a breakfast and lunch menu in its earlier hours, with a few options for vegetarians included. During my initial visit to PBs, I ordered a plate of Sausage and Mash (6.95). The mash was creamy, the cumberland sausages cooked well and the accompanying onion gravy worked in harmony with this well executed classic. With the arrival of the evening, Perfect Blend makes the smooth transition from being Streathams local and into a cosy, candle lit affair. The time exclusive dinner menu works well in completing the transformation. My second visit included an order for a Chicken Burger (8.75), French Fries (2.75) and a Sirloin Steak with a choice sauce (15.95) for my other half. The chicken breast used in my burger was moist, the salad leaves fresh as was the brioche bun. All of the food ordered was more than satisfactory, served in good time and presented well. For those seeking an uptempo edge to their dining experience, PB occasionally provides a live musical backdrop on Saturday nights. To follow up the main, I tried the Chocolate Fondant (5.95) which was accompanied with a good quality vanilla ice cream. The fondant was warm, chocolatey and gooey – perfection! One complaint would be that the Warm Toffee and Pecan Cookie (5.95) ordered by my other half arrived with burnt edges. Staff were pleasant and rectified this speedily, although further visits have confirmed desserts to be hit and miss – mains however have been consistently good. When it comes to Perfect Blend, the one thing that really shines asides from the seductive twinkling of its string-of-pearl window lights is the service. Excellent service, good food and great atmosphere.

Imperfect bland. This place has a good atmosphere and is conveniently near the station and high road. However, when you are paying relatively high prices for food and drink, you have certain expectations that not only will it be good but also the service will be of a high standard. It wasn’t busy when we went but were kept waiting for quite a long time and many staff walked past. We were almost going to leave, but were noticed and served. I decided to give the place the benefit of doubt. After a long wait, the food came and was very oily, undercooked and medium warm. I was hungry so ate it without comment. The starters had been forgotten although we were still charged for it, so had to get the bill corrected. The bar didn’t have a license so no alcohol was available at that time. All in all, we left with the view that we wouldn’t be returning here any time soon, which is a shame. It is far too expensive for what is currently on offer here.

Was looking forward to having some lunch here as it has a very positive raiting but was rather disapointed. perhaps it was just an off day but it took ages to get served though the place was hardly busy. the food was medicore when it came, not to mention that they forogt my drink. perhaps it’s a decent place for a drink at night but I wouldn’t bother with the lunch again.

Just about the best place to eat and hang out in, in Streatham. The food is straightforward but very well cooked. Staff are very helpful and polite. Great place for brunch, or a sandwich or just a drink.
