We’ve been there twice now, chasing the cheap priced meals…It’s a definitely family friendly pub. They have a playground on the outside, even a nappy changing station! Kids menu is available. Friday and Saturday, however, they won’t allow anyone under 18: don’t forget. The food is fairly decent. Worth your pound: can’t complain for the 6 roast meal and 5 steak on Monday night. Plenty of drinks to choose from. Service is good, and like any pub, you order at the counter. Simple decoration, but a really cosy place, not too far from the river and town Centre. Do read the sign on the entrance to the Bear. It’s quite funny!!
