I am Italian, and this Restaurant beats the one in my homeland!. So basically I went to dine there with my Boyfriend Sam, (it’s the first italian restaurant im going to after moving in england for good from italy ) and oh boys, what an amazing Dinner. At first i was impressed with the nice and tidy place, everything looked really clean and cozy.I was then very pleased by how kind the personal was, very friendly and educated. We had a portion of Garlic Bread as a starter, and believe me, it was the best Garlic Bread i’ve ever had in my life.It came with a nice coating of cheese, and was so tasty! Then we had 2 portion of Crespelle (that how we call them in Italy) with a filling of Ricotte and Spinach, covered in nice tomato and meat sauce. It was warm to the right level, not burning and not frozen, it was simply perfect. The inside was creamy and the Ricotta blended with the Spinachs perfectly.I was so pleased with this dish i ordered a second one!A portion og Grilled liver, with balsamic vineggar and vegetables.Oh boys, the best liver i’ve ever had, even better than the one my Nan does! So tender, and delicious, it melted in my mouth. It was incredible.By the end of the dinner, i wanted to make my congratulations with the chef, because.. He really deserves them!I recommend this place. to everyone who wants a nice, pure Italian dinner, with a variety of Mediterranean dishes, for a really really good and reasonable price as well.PERFETTO!

Sunday Lunch. My husband and I decided to try this restaurant today, as we had just returned from holiday in the South of France and fancied a local meal out and prolong our holiday feeling. What a find! We decided to stick to the tapas and not have a starter and main and we were certainly not disappointed. The portions were more than ample (not tapas size at all) We ordered 8 dishes and struggled to finish them, but gave it a good go! The ribs were to die for, succulent and flavoursome and the mussels are to be recommended too. Everything was presented very nicely. Paul and Kosta were very obliging and attentive, without being too much so.I will certainly be recommending this restaurant to my friends and hope to return in the very near future, with the rest of my family in tow!Julie and Bruce. 😉

Experiential joy. We moved to Caterham about 9 months ago and are big fans of Mediterranean food so knew we had to try La Fiaba. Our third visit now (the first for ’emergency’ takeaway bolognese, the second with family and this third time with a visiting friend) was an experience to remember. Each time we’ve been in, Paul and the team have been more than generous – complimentary tasters to improve our dining experience! They’re a very friendly and accommodating team, and the food has been beautifully prepared. Most recently, we all seemed to be in a seafood-mood – enjoying the mussels, whitebait, hake and trout – all of which were perfectly cooked and elegantly presented. The staff are always entertaining, attentive and helpful with recommendations. The atmosphere is vibrant, as you would hope and expect from a Mediterranean restaurant, but still allows for easy conversation at the table. A great place to visit, I highly recommend taking friends and family to enjoy an evening in an authentic and beautiful restaurant – a delight to have in Caterham.
