My Xmas works meal was totally ruined by the staffsunwillingness to pull a group of over 20 other dinners up about theirdisgraceful behaviour! They were sat directly behind us for 2 hours and behavedlike disgusting drunken football hooligans/louts throughout the entire time! At no point didany of the staff attempt to cool this behaviour down and the staff becamestroppy when I asked them to deal with the issue! This is not a football cafor a pub! The staff was grossly unprofessional in letting this happen and Itold them so! This was not a little bit of Xmas high jinx, it was constant loudshouting, screaming, banging on tables etc…for a solid two hours and thestaff did nothing! ruined our meal, which wasn’t cheap either! Made worse byrude staff attitude when I complained so very unprofessional! Will never go backhere and would not recommend it either! pfft!

Northbank is one of my favourite London restaurants. Located on the river bank it’s a lovely place to sit and have a drink outside or in the classy bar when it’s a little chillier. The restaurant itself is stunning with full-length windows all along the river front, the tables are well-spaced and there’s both booths and tables. It’s perfect for a romantic evening, business dinner or group catch-up. You can get private and intimate dining pretty much wherever you sit. The service is on point – professional, polite and fast, without being overbearing or overly pretentious. The food is SUBLIME, but you do pay for it. Amouse bouches and petits fours are thrown in (bonus) and the few times I’ve been I’ve been stuck by what to order as there are so many appetising options. For starters, favourites have included the Cornish gurnard with tempura rock oyster, seaweed cream and sea purslane (sensational), the roasted venison with parsnip puree, quince and walnut dressing, and braised ox cheek tortellini with morels and mushroom butter sauce. For mains – I can recommend the steak; good quality meat cooked to order. Their chips need a little work and they could be a little more generous with their side sauces, but this is nitpicking to the max. The cauliflower & bone marrow gratin side is also delicious! For puds, the dark chocolate fondant with peanut butter ice cream BLEW MY MIND (and I am a bit of a fondant connoisseur and, although I didn’t try it, the rhubarb & apple crumble with cinnamon ice cream looked pretty damn good and I was told it was too! A must in London. You can read my full review on my blog 🙂 andreaspassions.com
