Simple italian food with a milanese flair. Anything tomato based seems to be done really well. We enjoyed the freshness of the ingredients and the simple flavours that really shone through in the bruschetta. Buffalo mozarella bread was amazing! Soft cheese with creamy tomato, and very light flavour. My main was not as satisfactory. I opted for pasta carbonara and felt that it was too egg-y and there were chunks of egf everywhere and not much of the thick and rich creaminess from the yolk. Dessert ended the night well with a soft and delicate tiramisu which is well worth a try.Prices are reasonable and the customer service is good.

This is a cute authentic Italian restaurant a2 minute walk from St Paul’s station – it has a nice atmosphere and good hearty food. The restaurant quite frequently offers discounts through its website and through groupon/wowcher etc which makes it an absolute bargain price. I have been twice now and it has always been busy and great service on both occasions.

La Rucoletta is located very centrally between St Pauls and Bank stations in London. We were made to feel welcome from the moment that we walked through the door and looked after really well throughout the whole meal. Service that we received was warm and friendly. The restaurant was busy and had a good atmosphere.Excellent food (so much better than the chain restaurants).Overall the pricing was value for what you get considering the quality and the wines are excellent as well.

This is an unassuming local Italian in an unassuming street near St Paul’s. However the food is not unassuming at all. A cosy, traditional deco this place was buzzing on a Thursday night. We opt for some delicious huge green olives to nibble on whilst we looked through the menu. Then small pastas for our starters, the pasta was homemade & my beef & wild mushroom sauce was rich & moorish, my friends carbonara was divine, and not sickly creamy like some carbonaras can be. We both opted for the sea bass with new potatos & pancetta, the fish skin was perfectly crisp and the fish itself was cooked to perfection and went so well with the pancetta & caper dressing. The wine list is also brilliant we shared a fantastic Moltipulcino DOC red for 20 – bargain! If your near the city of London this place is definitely worth a visit.
