BRILLIANT evening!. 6 of us had dinner in the gorgeous dining room upstairs and had the perfect night. The food, service and ambience were all excellent and we have all been raving about it to our friends ever since. The pub was buzzing as well, great atmosphere all round. Can’t recommend it highly enough, especially the slow cooked lamb… try it ASAP!
Let down by service.. The White Swan is a relaxed & cosy dinner venue with the dining room upstairs & a pub downstairs. The mains at full price are more akin to restaurant than gastro pub. Food ingredients were generally very good, especially the seafood, for example the very fresh & perfectly cooked cod fillet. The menu changes often according to seasonal & market availability, with a strong British focus. However, desserts were weak & service was unfriendly, dismissive & moody.
