Good place to enjoy a glass full of beer with a nice ambiance and great setup. With ever going classy decor and nice fish and chips on the menu, this place is a big hit just coming out of the tube station. Get out of the station after a day at work and then enjoy a beer before heading home. 🙂
The best pub in barking? Probably. Although the spit and sawdust has slowed down over the years losing some of its character and the makeover has lost some of its charm it’s still a place in barking where you can escape your surroundings, like the anger of the wether spoons hustle and bustle next door. It is a bit pricey though and the staff are hit and miss, some really friendly and chatty while the others can be a bit pompous, I mean seriously you are still in barking by the way. This isn’t Westminster
Spotted dog the only real dog in Barking. From the outside this pub looks like any other pub in Barking, its not until you step through the door that you straight away see how different this pub is. Its set out like an old country pub with a lovely oak bar. The drink choice is not as large as the JDWspoons next door but does have the better drinks. It has all your normal lagers and spirits and for Ale lovers like myself they have Shepherds N Kent’s Best and Old wallop on tap.The Menu is not that large and theres not a massive choice. I went for the rib eye stake and chips and it was the best pub lunch i have had ever! All the meat is from local farmers too.Great pub great food and not to busy
