  It is very busy so obviously doing well, but for me the food was a disappointment. Bread with olive oil and balsamic consisted of a boring wholemeal roll with bland non-virgin oil. When I asked for virgin oil (and explained the concept), after some searching the waitress produced a nice, fresh virgin oil instead. So why don’t they serve that with the bread all the time? The spaghetti bolognese was dreadful: spaghetti was undercooked (not al dente), the sauce watery and bland. I’m sure that I tasted some tomato ketchup in there. Meals were coming out at a good speed and looked OK so the chef seems competent enough, just lazy. But if he can’t be bothered to get the basics right, why should I trust him with a more expensive and complex meal?Waitress was not interested in hearing constructive feedback. Obviously the restaurant is doing well, so I think it has reached that stage where confidence is turning into lazy arrogance. But a chef is only as good as the last meal he cooked.

  Adele is a star and the food is good. Great local place with the best fillet steak in town. Fantastic value wines. White table clothe experience without the pretense. Don’t like the quirky T-shirts at lunchtime service, but staff is friendly. We go often because this is exactly what a foodie wants: good food, small scale, relaxing environment and local feel.

  Went for dinner with friends. Really tasty food. Good price offer. Lots of specials and attentive friendly service. Good atmosphere worth a visit.
