Great food, sound advice. Had a really pleasant dining experience this evening…Mixed Starter to get a feel for the variety and standard of food was excellent, particularly enjoyed the Chicken Satay with an excellent sauce.Mains of Green Curry and Stir Fried Spicy Chicken to follow, taking very helpful advice to accompany them with Roti and Coconut Rice. Food was really good, service attentive and friendly, I have no problem recomending this place to others – in my view the best Thai Restaurant in Wakefiled.
My Birthday Bash at Amala Thai. I won tickets via Ridings FM for the restaurant, but I couldn’t make a reservation before the expiry date on the tickets. After speaking to the Manager, he honoured the prize ticket and welcomed me on my birthday to the restaurant a few days later. He really didn’t have to do that now did he! We were a party of eight and the service was excellent. The manager came over especially to see me and to make sure we were all comfortable. The food went down exceptionally well, we all thoroughly enjoyed it. I am totally picky about food but my vegetarian options were delicious. The staff couldn’t be more helpful and because the kitchen staff make everything from scratch, it was possible to alter sauces or ingredients or add to them etc. The Wine Menu was well chosen and quite surprising. We all will make a return visit and now we have another great venue in Wakey for dinner – about time!

All dishes were beautifully presented and touches like the choice of wines and an excellent dessert list made it extra special. The dessert wine really complements both the brownie and lemongrass desserts.It’s not the cheapest night out, but it’s worth every penny. Last Saturday I went to Amala Thai Restaurant. I had a lovely meal, great service. One of the best Thai restaurant I have been.
