The Meating RoomAs a resident of Norbury I’m passionate about the area especially when it comes to food so far Norbury has a few gems like Affogato and Surprisingly Creams which many come all over to sample.So to see another restaurant pop up in the heart of Norbury across the road from Norbury station was a welcomed site.On entering we were greeted to the standards you would expect in central London restaurants those that had been established for years, so to find the level of attentive service as well as recommendations of meals and the staff clearly knew their stuff was setting the bar high for the food expected.The menu had a nice touch with local street names as names of handmade burgers.So I decided to get the The Meating room burger which consisted of beef patty,gem lettuce,grilled beef tomato,red onion,Apple smoked cheddar,grilled turkey bacon and BBQ -chilli sauce. The burger was okay nothing special and did exactly what the it said on the tin.The sweet potatoes were good, in fact just right with a bit of crunch.The milkshake was disappointing just tasted like vanilla ice cream dumped in a Glass jar rather than mixed and served with any kind of care. Although The Meating room has some promise, Creams still wears the crown in Norbury.
