Grandad Nicols is now open and serving the residents and guest of torquay with freshly cooked " old fashioned fish and chips" the traditional way. We serve only the highest graded fish from the clean waters of iceland and local specials from brixham fish market, and home made specials like Haddock & Parsly fish cakes and our famous yorkshire fish cakes. Due to a number of people thinking we have stale or old oil we have made the decision to change the type of oil we fry in we used to use beef dripping but we have had some comments saying that the oil was stale old etc. So we have now change to vegetable oil which is more commonly found in the fish and chip shops and most people are accustomed to
