The rosendale is a large local pub a short walk away from west Norwood station. It has a good size front garden complete with a table tennis table. Inside there is plenty of seating although I would recommend you book if going for food at the weekends. Upstairs there are 2 rooms available for hire, the larger one (can’t remember the name) is beautifully decorated, light and airy. Would be. Perfect for gatherings (750 min spend). I came here for Sunday lunch with a group of friends. I had a Bloody Mary and a roast beef. The Bloody Mary was very unseasoned so I improved it myself with extra Tabasco, salt and horseradish and it went down very nicely. There was only a short wait for the food after we ordered which was nice as we were starving. They had a nice selection of veg and it came with 2 slices of beef and a Yorkshire pud. Some may think the meat portion is a bit stingy but I was quite happy with the meat to veg ratio. Not the best Sunday lunch in London but I like the relaxed atmosphere in here.

Rosendale new managment. So happy that the renaissance boys of Avalon in Capham and The Bolingbroke in Battersea have taken over The Rosendale. They’ve turned it into a beautiful pub and dining rooms with really lovely British pub grub. Really looking forward to spending more time there.

Poor service, inconsistent food preparation, overpriced. Had hopes when they started but have missed the boat and seem to take perverse pleasure at running the business into the ground.

Apologies if I offend anyone… But I have to say that The Rosendale is so misplaced, both in terms of price and dcor. The bar area is cold and unwelcoming and the prices are astronomic – 10 for a single measure of whicky which is only 3 in ‘The Dog’. New to Dulwich?… Head to The Alleyns Head, The Dog or go to Herne Hil or Palace. Avoid this place.

The bar menu is a bit limited and some of the food is frozen – the prawns were still hard. Chips are great. The house White is great. Ask one of the full time employees as the part timers don’t really know.

Great food – fine ambiance. I love to go to the rosendale for a god meal proper meal with my wife.Great cote de boeuf, home made smoked butter and home made bread… quality for good price. atmosphere is one of newly refurbished restaurant like too many around london… that darker cream color… but hell, the staff is great and the food is excellent.
