Would have appreciated the heads up about not accepting debit cards!. Great food, great service, unfortunately I couldn’t leave a tip as they waited until I presented my debit card to tell me that they only accept cash payments! Luckily I had a twenty in my wallet.
The best Turkish restaurant I ever been in London. Just go and try. My family had a great time. Thanks for Harman.
Not worth going there. Unless you are only into interior design. The food was disappointing.

Truly yummy food at reasonable prices. I love this place…Because of my family’s background from Turkey, I know Turkish food very well and I can strongly recommend this restaurant to everyone. You will enjoy the delicious food and desserts with affordable price. Friendly servers and the comfortable atmosphere make you feel very comfordable when you are having the best Turkish food ever.
Firm Favourite Alice and Rach. I discovered Harman’s restaurant with my fianc when he lived in Archway. We have spent many relaxed Sunday mornings with the papers enjoying their delicious breakfasts and great service. The staff are unfailingly welcoming and friendly and always willing to go the extra mile. We have become regulars in the evening as well and are more than happy to travel from South London now that we have moved out of the area. The houmous alone is well worth the journey! I think I have probably sampled most items on the menu and would particularly recommend the Islim Kebab. The food is always fresh and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly making it a firm favourite and the only restaurant I have ever taken the time to recommend!
Worst Turkish restaurant ever. I can only presume that the other reviews come from people who’ve never been to a proper Turkish restaurant. I came in here for a meal with my dad as we’d often passed the place and liked the look of it. Going for an easy option, we both ordered lamb shish. I was greeted with possibly the worst shish I’ve ever had the displeasure to work my way through. We’re talking big ungainly chunks of lamb. Any half decent Turkish restaurant serves up the lamb in convenient chunk sizes so that you don’t end up dislocating your jaw trying to insert it into your mouth or (obviously the safer option) chopping the lamb up into smaller pieces. This was made difficult by the lamb being at least 50% fat and gristle. It’s pretty obvious that the produce is very low grade. It’s also not helped by the lamb being undercooked – unforgivable and something that I’ve never encountered in a Turkish place before. I’m surprised that neither my Dad or I got food poisoning from the meat. However some of the fat did lodge in his throat leading him to throw up in the toilet – not a great dining experience for him. And the bread was very stale too.I’ve eaten in countless Turkish places in Tottenham, Archway/Holloway, Green Lanes, Dalston and Stoke Newington – you know, places where actual Turkish people go to eat. For what it’s worth, you can walk a bit down the Holloway Road and find superior places for much cheaper. I think even the KFC a few doors down would have been a better move – at least the meat would have been cooked. 0/10 – Again, don’t be lured in by the decor. One for those who have a meat fat fetish.
