Very handsome pub. Service was quick but we arrived right at noon when they just opened so it wasn’t busy at lunchtime yet.Food was okay. Big portions. My roast pheasant a little overcooked. Nice roast potatoes and roast parsnip though. There was quite a lot of cranberry sauce. and braised red cabbage. One of our table had the venison stew which was tender. Accompanied with mash a sauteed brussel tops. The last order on the table was hare papparadelle. Very tasty but pasta was on the soft side for my taste.
