Tremendous is the one word I would use to sum up our experience with Miraj Indian Resturant in Tooting. I loved the food. Their best and mouth-watering dishes were Chicken Balti and Chicken Tikka Masala extremely appealing and delicious. They dont officially allow alcohol but I guess you can take it in a coke bottle without being noticed (just dont get too drunk to be noticed, lol) or avoid alcohol to feel the true taste. The service was kind and attentive. I would certainly recommend Miraj Restaurant to anyone looking for a feast out, for a true taste of India.
Outstanding food, best in tooting by FAR. Everytime I visit tooting with friends or family Al Mirage goes without saying, on a couple occasions I have tried other curry houses such as spice village and Lahore Kahari, but ended up very disappointed, a must try is the mixed grill which comes sizzling hot and smoking, always goes down a treat. I think it’s a family run business and the staff are always polite and service is spot on, so if your looking for a good curry house then look no further I have pointed you in the right direction. Also try the lamb Kahari, you can choose how spicy or mild you want it which is always good as my kids also enjoy their meal.Well done! And keep up the good work, don’t bother with spice village your wasting your time and money, Lahore Kahari was ok but too much noise and alcohol for the family atmosphere.
Rubbish Food too expensive. Food was rubbish, cold and too expensive. Not worth a penny. Service was equally bad.. Won’t recomment to anyone… Try Dawat on the same road… much better and very good value for money…We went for a buffet meal for 7.99 per person with our 22 months old daughter. When we asked for the bill we were surprised to see that we was charged 4.99 for our daughter who only ate 2 chips. I asked the waiter and he rudely replied that this charge is not for the food but for the chair they have provided….what a stupid answer…. I will never go there again as where ever you go childrens under 2 eat free.
We ended up in tooting and decided to dinner We chose al mirageThe food was very nice and extremely cheap compared to other placesService was good Definately revisit
Get rid of the TV and all the posters on the window!. I have tried the curries at many places in Tooting and prefer Al Mirage and recommend it to everyone. I would however suggest that they get rid of the TV – it is annoying! I know you have received the healthy eating award but please, please try and use less oil/ghee in your vegetable dishes. Dishes overflowing with oil are neither attractive nor enjoyable to eat.
The WORST curry I have ever tasted! Please read on!!!. I was unfortunate to be in hospital.. Just before my operation i knew I wanted a lamb rogan josh, onion bhaji and rice when i woke…. we’ll I woke, ordered and the food, the food arrived and to say I was soooo disappointed was to say the least. The Josh was full with oil, the lamb still had lots of fat on it, the onion bhaji was soaked in oil and all in all the whole meal was AWFUL needless to say it went straight in the bin!! I’m north African and I know good food when I taste it.. (an accomplished cook myself).. Personally I would not recommend this place for a take away.. not sure what the food is like to eat in but I will not be trying it..! Now if you want a fantastic curry The Grange on Beddington lane is to die for… Real authentic indian food freshly cooked..! I think I have ranted on Al Mirage for long enough… my advice stay away!
