Best meal ever!. Me and my family had a perfect meal. The service was outstanding comparing to other restaurants around Tooting and Balham. I had a pan-fried scallops with pancetta (Itallian bacon) in balsamic vinegar sauce to start with. My main was a perfect fillet steak with gorgonzola sauce. In general one of the best restaurants in the south side of the river.
Very good. I don’t normally write reviews, especially about food, but the meal I had in Numero Uno last night compelled me to join this website and write a review.I opted for the linguine with clams and it didn’t disappoint. Everytime I dug my fork in, it was hitting lots of clams, you get a large amount for your money. The pasta was cooked to perfection and tasted lovely.I will be returning there.
Italian food. 4 of us at numero uno on friday nite we all left very happy with good food and service.neighbourhood should be very happy to have such an authentic italian restaurant in their area!
Italian food done well. Popped in mid week and it was a quarter full. I use to live off the Northcote for a couple of years, so visited their Northcote restaurant a number of times, which never dissapointed and their Tooting Bec restaurant lived up those high standards. The food was authentic high quality Italian, service was good, interesting wine selection (perhaps should have a few more affordable options). Once inside the restaurant you would not know it was on the busy Trinity road. Overall a great night and will be popping in soon. Great for Tooting Bec to have such restaurants, which only adds to the diversity of the area.
Disappointing crude cuisine. Over greasy over salted unsubtle food. Starter tasted like cheese filled Blackpool doughnuts and Ravioili main thick with grease and salt. Sea bass had defrosted puthery consistency. Cheese platter laughable.100 bill for two utterly ridiculous. Over bright lighting. What happened to candles?
Not the best Italian food you’ll ever have, but nice place nevertheless. Best there is in Tooting.
