This is one of my favourite restaurants in Tooting. They have really delicious mediterranean style food and nice mezze platters. It is well priced, The merguez is nice and I like their sandwiches too.
Lovely place just off of Tooting Broadway station. Great mix of food and beverages on offer. Really nice people but can get very busy. The ambience is nice too in the mornings.
The coffee and cake is good and the atmosphere is very nice but the staff are often quite unfriendly and getting a coffee for take away is painfully slow. They also have a minimum of 5 when paying by card which is annoying when you only want a coffee and no cash.
My experience of Tartine was mixed. I really enjoyed the food and interior but not so much the ambiance.Tartine’s decor is very chic and quirky, with their signature bicycle outside and inside all of their chairs have Tooting road names written on them (a nice touch). They have a great choice of dishes from mezze to quessadillas, and they also have a good breakfast menu. However, service was slow, tables weren’t being cleared and we felt a little neglected. There were a lot of children running around the small venue, which felt quite chaotic.

I am quite a fan of Euphorium at Angel,London but its quite far and I become very lazy in winter , so travelling far away is ruled out.Interestingly enough for the past few months on my way to Tooting Broadway where I go and buy my Indian groceries every week I have been noticing the Tartine Artisanal Cafe and silently promising myself that after am done with the shopping I will treat myself to a cuppa, but then with heavy shopping bags for company all I want to is take the next bus homesighFinally last week when I met my friend for a dosa lunch at Dosa and Chutney which has somehow become our new lunch haunt , we decided to go and have a relaxed cuppa at the Tartine. As soon as you enter through the doors the whole manic high street outside seems to disappear , you wouldnt know after a while whether you are actually in Tooting I love when that happens , an added impetus to dream away Its the kind of place where you loose track of timeWhere you can sit for hours and watch the world go by or even loose yourself in the infinite reflections of the beautiful .soft cafe lights onto the street outside.Everything about the decor is just so right the brick wall at the counter, the fire place, the plush brown sofa that you can sink into , the chairs with street names in a nice font , the cushions mimicking jute bags in which coffee is packed, the coffee cake placed on the cake stand with a .. travelsfortaste.com
Fantastic. I go most Sundays for an eggs benedict and black coffee. Perfect!
