Chino Latino is the stylish restaurant in the Park Plaza Hotel on the Riverbank. Across the river you have Tate Britain. The view from the window includes the houses of parliament and Big Ben. A great location for a romantic city break or staycation. The restaurant itself is lovely, but the bar next door is cool too with a live band most nights. Very stylish vibe with great cocktails to match. This place hits the spot which Chotto Matte unfortunately missed for me. I do see them as being a bit similar and they both came on my radar at the same time. However, my time at Chino Latino completely eclipsed that of Chotto Matte. In terms of service, they were on point. The Manager was very visible, working the room ensuring all was running smoothly. This is normal practice in hotels for some reason, they tend to really focus on monitoring the room. The style of management is definitely different to a stand alone restaurant. Of course sushi would be a choice for me and we went for Eel, tuna and avocado roll as well as seared salmon and asparagus roll. There was also a portion of vegetable gyoza. For main course, I had some char-grilled chicken with cassava and padron peppers.. My guest had the English sirloin steak which was cooked hot rocks! Very impressive visually and it tasted fab too. We opted to share a salted caramel banana mousse with green tea ice cream which was welcomed, considering I am not a fan of desserts. When we finished our dinner, it made sense that we popped to the bar next door for a dirty martini. Overall the visit was very good. I will definitely come here although the price makes it more of an special occasion type of place. cookandpour.co.uk
Had dinner with family this evening at the Chino Latino and I must say their services and cuisine was nothing short of excellent! We had an array of dishes including sushi, grilled ribs, calamari rings, curry dishes, cassava fries, broccoli etc and everything was made to perfection! I see many more dinners aheadHighly recommend this restaurant.
