I really liked this place. It is a brightly painted boat permanently moored on Thames River with a nice view. They host different live music events on this floating pub where you can enjoy a drink. It has inside and outside areas. I tried their Beef Cheddar & Bacon Burger and a pint of beer. Both were good. Their bar is small though so when it is crowded it is very difficult to talk to the bar staff to place the orders and the passageway in front of it is narrow. But definitely going back. Loved the experience. Perfect around sunset time.
When you are floating over Thames with the beautiful city passing by and the breeze playing in your hair, what can possibly go wrong! The food, the drinks, the service – all are secondary here! What really takes your breath away is London !
Got to be one of the best burgers in town, and don’t get me started on the nachos – sooooo good! Love, love this place. Been coming on and off for the last few years having moved from Somerset and living locally and the food just keeps getting better! This is my favourite pub in London, no better place to enjoy a pint in the London sun than on the top deck, with great views of London town.
Definitely the ‘something a bit different’ ‘it’s a pub on a boat’ winner to have up your sleeve. Decent beers, interesting location, v nice inside, bet it’s rammed in summer, would be good to hire. Can’t really fault Tamesis for anything – except maybe that it’s a bit obvious and might fall into a London Hidden Gems article that tries to reduce it to a bit of a gimmicky attraction.
