The Albert is a picturesque and historical pub in Victoria. Beautiful from the outside, cosy inside and busy on a Friday evening. Fortunately we secured a table downstairs in a corner next to a lovely sandblasted window. We wanted an authentic London Pub and this one was perfect!Service was friendly and fast. Fish & Chips and Bangers & Mash -as tourists from South Africa we delighted in the experience. Tasty food in generous portions. A fond memory 🙂
The first British restaurant I tried here in London. This place though well made and gives the perfect feel of a British pub couldn’t deliver on its food. The service was slow and their food was excessively fried which was hard to finish.A restaurant not much recommended here seeing the vast competition it has.
Been there for dinner. The dining room upstairs was overcrowded and smelled of mold. They had only 2 staff serving more than 20 tables. Steak took almost 1hr and we refused to have it. The staff called Igor, was very arrogant, cocky and had bad english. The management has spoiled the image of the place by hiring people like Igor. The worst service in London. Never, ever again..
Christmas meal with the Hootsuite, about 15 of us.Had the turkey, everything was delicious apart from the raw red onion, raw carrots, raw parsnips and raw Brussels. But there was lots of beer, so it’s fine
A generic pub with the only advantage being the location on Victoria street. The drinks are the same price and the place can get very crowded early in the evening. I haven’t had any food here, but the smell wasn’t the greatest in the world. They have a separate room in the back which can be a relatively secluded places for bigger groups. I live close to this place so eventually end up coming here time and again but only after thinking if there are any other options close by.
Top pub, average grub. This is a fantastic pub with great history (many a Prime Minister has drank in here). This is the classic London pub and has a great selection of Ales etc… The food however, is rather average. Prides itself on Fish & Chips and Pie & Peas but both were rather average, but then you dont go to a pub like this for the grub! We also had a plate of chicken wings that were ok but nowt to write home about. Go for the atmosphere and for a jar of beer. If its a session, this will be great pub grub to fill a hole, but if you are looking for quality scoff, go elsewhere.
Like it!. Cool old classic pub! Friendly people! Good food!
