I visited Presidential Suya after recommendations from a friend, I had heard of the place for quiet a while but just really hadn’t the time to go. First off its important to know before hand that the menu is mostly made up of suya which is like a sweetened kebab meat. Secondly it is hot hot hot , I mean like mega spicy, So if your like me and you like Suya and spice then go for it. I ordered the Beef Suya which was amazing. The meat was tender, sweet, spicy, and with a mix of vegetables on the side which really added a balance to the meal. The portions where very heavy as I remember feelings afterwards that I wouldn’t be able to eat again for several days, I was that stuffed. The service was great, they treated me like royalty, which was new and fun. For the Beef Suya, I payed 7.50 and was even given a container to take what I couldn’t finish home. Definitely a no brainer for those that really like spicy foods

My birthday…. I booked a table for 15 friends at the Presidential restaurant for my birthday, and when we arrived they had arranged a private corner for us and the tables were beautifully decorated.I ordered a buffet for us all so that everyone could try different Nigerian foods and my God… the buffet was beautifully presented, very generous and very tasty.I will definitely return to the restaurant and highly recommend it to anyone looking for good food in a friendly restaurant.

Expensive, small portions and poor quality food.. I used to go here years ago and it was never cheap, but was just above average and the portions were good. But I went here tonight with 3 friends, really wanting them to enjoy it as much as I used to and I realised that it was well below average quality and portion size with well above average pricing.Jollof was weak and bland, even by nigerian standards, no where close to the quality i expect, though I have been eating ghanian and gambian jollof recently so perhaps my expectations were raised unrealistically.Service was dour and surly, portions were ridiculously small, and drinks were served warm.I was actually in shock. Its obvious that Presidential are being typically nigerian in that they are hoping to create a ‘classy expensive venue’ with small portions and inflated prices, but they forget that the quality has to be there, and its in the wrong postcode for such a venture.I definitely wont be going back there ever again, nor will any of my friends or colleagues once they hear my opinion.Shame, used to be a good eaterie, now avoid at all costs.PS, beef was appalling. tasted like bushmeat.
