It’s an estate pub so don’t come expecting anything else. It’s a pretty great one though – has all the functions you could possible want out of a pub IE darts, pool, live sports, karaoke, cheap-ish pints etc. Darts and pool leagues, the hallowed Grumpy Old Git Trophy sits behind the bar. No idea about the food, but as a place to come for a drink it’s good if you’re happy to settle for a locals pub with a chilled local atmosphere and no fanciness. + Pool is 50p which is unheard of in London these days
It is a great place to experience British food.Location: It is only 5 min away from Elephant & Castle tube station, situated in a quiet small street away from the traffic.Prices: It is quite cheap as you can spend 20 for two plus drinks. The time I was there I had traditional pie with mashed potatoes which was quite nice. You also have a plenty of choice for beer, but my favourite has been always the dark Guinness. What I like about the pub is that you have plenty of space whether it would be next to the bar, the dining tables or around the billiards. They both take cash and cards-cards in some pubs have certain amount of money to be used.
