I previously wrote a negative review for Roast, however after much deliberation and giving them one last chance I decided to visit the restaurant again with some mates. This time the service was much better, maybe because the manger was there and knew one of my friend that came along. I must say that their food is great but service does need to improve in order for them to have their customers back with a smile on their faces.

I was really disappointed with my meal this evening. We decided to call for a takeaway using a well known service. We ordered a whole chicken, creamy mash, some curly fries, homemade garlic sauce and 2 cans of coke.First, it was 40 min late. Delivery time was set for 19:40, at 20:20 it arrived.Although the flavour of the chicken was fantastic, the whole chicken we ordered was in fact 2 quarters. No brown meat, no thighs, a breast, leg and wing. It was also lukewarm. The creamy mash was lumpy. The curly fries had been popped in a paperbag (greaseproof bag) but as it had been wrapped in a plastic bag, it got wet and soggy. Not a good thing for fries. It’s disappointing because I really enjoyed the flavour as I said, but not worth the wait, nor what we paid.

Quit Bite Review:The forest gate branch has the one of the best lamb burgers in London. This new Wanstead brunch is a great place for Muslim families to eat with a simple menu. The decor is warm and surrounded with islamic art on the walls, staff are very friendly and polite and really add to the family atmosphere and talk to you like you are a friend. I ordered Lamb Chops and Lamb Donner, i quality of the chops were great. They were the good selects of meat, there was not a lot of fat on the bone and just good meat. However, by default meat is cooked well done which wasn’t too my liking. Im gonna come back again and make sure i order it medium rare. Lamb doner was cooked well and not too greasy.
