Love Number 6. Some seriously yummy food, amazing cocktails with very unusual mixes and fine beers. We have been for a family celebration and for drinks only. We have booked again for a family celebration in September and we are all looking forward to the amazing hospitality….need I say more? I imagine you realise I would recommend Number 6 Castle Street.
1st class British Bistro Dining in Warwick. First impressions of No 6 were good, stylish, contemporary furnishings with a cool ambience. I was greeted by the manager, Andrew (not many place do that) and went for a drink at the bar before dining. Nice to see that there is a selection of unique and tasty beers on offer, with a price you didn’t have to mortgage your house for. After chilling out to relaxed modern vibes, it was time to eat. I selected the pigs cheek with Scallops for starter, it was prompt to arrive and cooked to perfection, the pigs cheek bursting with flavour, melting in your mouth, accompanied by seared scallops, which worked well together. I had the duck breast with noodles in a Oriental broth for main, again the chef showed is talent for cooking meat to perfection, the breast was juicy and pink, the skin well crisped and little / no fat – just how I like it! The breast was sat on a bed on noodles laced with vegetables, the broth was light and delicately flavoured with oriental spices. I finished it off with a fine selection of cheese, supplied with a well balanced glass of Malbec.I left well fed and thoroughly enjoyed my time there, looking forward to returning to see what other dishes the chef has to offer. A real must visit.
