Baroset Barn. What a wonderful place! The ambience is excellent, as is the food. The service is second to none we have experienced before. I have had excellent meals at other places, which have been spoilt by sub standard service. Not so at the Baroset, the service provided by the whole team ( we were served by 4/5 different people ), was outstanding. I can be critical when things are not right, but I truly could not find any fault with the service we had today. Congrats also to the chef for providing superb food (all three courses were delicious). We will definitely be returning. Many thanks.
Average. I went to the baraset barn a couple of weeks ago with my fiancee. The setting is beautiful and when you arrive your greeted by a menber of staff who sits you down before giving you a menu and taking your drinks order. Your food order is taken and your allowed to enjoy your drink before your led to your table,i found this a nice touch because it then makes it seem like you haven’t waited that long for your food. The waitress was attentive but not intrusive. We had a starter of chilli prawns and garlic dip which considering it’s ingredients was surprisingly bland. Our main course was lamb for myself and a chicken dish for my fiancee. The lamb was well cooked but the overall dish forgettable and the chicken was dry and over cooked. For desert we had ice cream and chocolate brownie. What came out was a glass of ice cream with chunks of chocolate brownie,something I’d probably serve my 3 year old daughter. The service was fantastic but sadly the food doesn’t match it I’ve enjoyed better meals at the Harvester. Go if you’ve got a spare hundred quid that you don’t mind wasting on average food.
