Did a takeaway today night. Fast service. Friendly staff. On to the food, I ordered Chicken Lo Mein and Pork Lo Mein (Char Siu). Both were good however the pork was a bit stiff for my liking. I also ordered a side dish of Szchwean Style Chicken which tasted nice.Overall, would like to go to the restaurant one day, sit there and have some nice dinner.PS: If you order order 10, you get a portion of Spring Rolls free which is nice,

Been here a few times and last night the food is delicious every time I have been I ordered the sweet & sour chicken with special fried rice and capital ribs. The staff is also friendly and polite. Would recommend this place to go for a casual lunch or dinner.

NOT BAD FOOD BUT. . . A BIG BUT. Bin going 2 noodle city for about 6 years, staff pleasant and eager to serve customers. About a year ago I went there for a take away meal and it was near closing time. While our orders were being prepared, the chef came out from the kitchen with a big tissue part wedged up his nostril and the rest hanging out saturated with blood. I was taken aback by that and commented to the front staff about it. Being in health care, I was much more concerned about him than my meal. Looking back I wondered how often this happens, and how this is dealt with where health and safety and food hygiene is concerned. Another incident is what prompted me to write this review. Today I went there to have a sit down meal. My order was taken and while waiting for my meal one of the female servers began digging her nose. She went at it until she got the entire contents out of her nose, rolled it up in her hand then proceeded to serve me my drink. By this time I pointed this out to another of her colleagues, she had swiftly run off after putting our drinks on the table. I was told by her colleague there was no problem because she was not the one preparing the food. By this time this lady was still having another go at picking her nostrils and serving other food. Clearly he did not get the point and she knew I had complained, which leaves me to conclude that this restaurant again has little regard, for food handling, food hygiene and even basic food standards. So for me although the food is affordable and taste good I am saying bye bye to noodle city. I must say thanks to the pleasant lady, who knows that they get our regular patronage, for apologising on her colleagues’ behalf.

A favourite of my friends and I during our college days, Noodle City is a great spot for meeting with friends and not having to focus too much on the food. Not that the food should be dismissed, by any means! The portions are more than generous and always cooked well. It’s also easy to take advantage of the deal advertised on each long bench of tables about getting a side dish for free or for a reduced price if you spend a certain amount, which can easily be achieved with two people buying a main meal each. The food always comes out quickly and steaming, and has plenty of vegetables too, which is something than can sometimes be lacking in cheaper Chinese restaurants. Speaking of which, it’s very affordable, there’s no way you’ll have to break the bank to come here! While I always went for the noodles, a friend of mine often went for the rice and duck, and judging by the amount she ate and how often she re-ordered it, I’d say it’s worth it!Don’t come here expecting to finish your plate completely unless it’s with an empty stomach!

Went back to this place after 5 years and it has changed for the better. It’s a simple restaurant with seating like wagamamma. Service was blindingly fast, we got two bowls of udon noodles with beef and chicken, sweet and sour nungu prawns, chicken in black bean sauce and egg fried rice. Very good, and lived it. And it was seriously value for money, 22 quid with drinks. Needless to say, it’s now on the list of favorite restaurants.
