The Vintage is a traditional Indian restaurant located in the heart of Harrow, making it easily accessible to customers. The restaurant is a family business and the warm smiles and welcoming demeanour really endear you to the place. Indeed, if time permits and you show interest, the proprietor may even take you to the kitchen to proudly demonstrate the freshness of his ingredients and the cleanliness of the environment. I was seated immediately and the service was excellent. The waiting times for food were also really good and I was served within 15 minutes. The chicken vindaloo was very spicy and flavoursome, the blend of herbs and spices created a unique but exceptionally hot tasting curry. It was different to most Indians restaurants and I felt that the excessive use of chillis stifled the overall flavour of the curry certainly to my taste. The dcor is very modest and nothing to write home about. The one problem I felt when eating here was the fact that the restaurant was lowly lit, however I accept this may be done to create ambiance. The Vintage is a place to visit if youre in need a quick curry and a quiet evening. I would revisit this place although next time I will either try a milder curry or request that my dish is prepared with a few less.
