Went to the almond restaurant last night with my partner to celebrate new year! Was our first time at the restaurant. Was very disappointed by the food.. Not very much variety on the set menu.. So had the steak each which means paying an additional charge!! Making our bill, with a bottle of wine 61….could have gone to a rather nicer restaurant for that price!! And wish that we had!!
What a lovely restaurant, almond is west derbys hidden gem. Great value for money, fresh tasty food and a warm relaxing atmosphere. Food is great as is service would definately recommend, fabulous.
What a let down. We live locally to Almond and have been loads of times and the food was gorgeous and the restaurant lovely and lively and staff great. Since the menu has been changed to a set menu – YUK, was cheap but there just isn’t the same quality of food that I’ve always found there. i was dying for the scallops and the sea bass which have always been my favourite but now there is no fish on the menu whatsoever. Although the staff and the restaurant still the same and as good as ever the food was one big let down. Come on Almond – go back to the good old days
So glad. That Almond has opened! It’s my new favourite place in West Derby! The food is excellent and reasonably priced too! Plus our kids eat free at certain times…try it you will love it!
Fantastic!. We enjoyed a fantastic meal in Almond last Saturday night. I had the Mussels to start which were delicious and the Steak as my main meal. The Steak was cooked to perfection and the chips were the tastiest i’ve ever had!With the lovely staff and great atmosphere we had a brilliant night and we will definitely return soon!
Loved it!. I went a couple of weeks ago on a friday night and the food was gorgeous, I had scallops and they were really nice, i had lamb for my main and the meat was so tender but the best part was the ice cream sundae for desert!
Absolutely amazing! Loved the food, the setting and the staff were excellent! The steak is up there with the beat I’ve had!
